Fibre-East 2012 14th & 15th July 2012
Fibre-East is a new Fibre event for weavers, spinners and dyers especially from London, the Midlands and the South East of England, that competes with Wonder Wool in Wales and Woolfest in the Lake District, but which is much more accessible for weavers, spinners and dyers from the South East and the Midlands than they are.
It was held in Bedfordshire on 23rd & 24 July 2011 to provide an opportunity for people from the Eastern, Midlands and Southern Regions to enjoy and to participate in an event that encourages and promotes the use of natural fibres, with particular emphasis on spinning, knitting, crochet, weaving, dyeing and felting.
Wild Fibres will be at Fibre-East and will be demonstrating SpinOlution spinning wheels, Rakestraw Spinners, Hazel Rose looms and other products.
Fibre-East was held at Scald End Farm which is situated on the outskirts of the village of Thurleigh. The address is Scald End Farm, Mill Road, Thurleigh, Bedford MK44 2DP.
