Spin or make felt with dyed carded batts. Medieval Garden carded wool batts were made with soft, white British BFL wool dyed with natural dyes and blended on a drum carder to approximately 25 x 65 cm in area.
Medieval Garden carded wool batts are out of stock but you can make your own naturally dyed batts with British Blue-Faced Leicester wool tops from Wild Fibres and natural dyes from Wild Colours. Natural dyes and full dyeing instructions on Wild Colours.
You can use this silky pure wool for woollen and worsted spinning and for wet felt making or needle felting.
We regret that our dyed batts are out of stock but the photos provide examples what you can do!
